5 Day Itinerary:
Day 1: UK to ReykjavikDepart London on your scheduled flight direct to Iceland. Here you will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel in the capital, Reykjavik. This evening, journey to a secluded vantage point for a chance to witness the Northern Lights, a celestial kaleidoscope of turquoise bands rolling across the still night sky, illuminating shimmering ice sheets and volcanic summits - a truly awe-inspiring spectacle to behold. |
Day 2: ReykjavikEnjoy a morning tour of the world's northernmost capital, home to eye-popping architecture, hospitable locals and a panoramic backdrop of majestic snow-capped peaks. Spot the quaint 19th century annex of Reykjavik's parliament; wander through the Asmundur Sveinsson sculpture garden for a taste of eccentric Icelandic art and marvel at the iconic Hallgrimskirkja church, a dramatic landmark whose immense grandeur dominates the skyline. This afternoon, travel through a black-lava field to bathe in the Blue Lagoon, home to milky-teal geothermal waters packed with rejuvenating mineral salts, leaving you with luxuriously soft skin.

Day 3: ReykjavikFollowing breakfast, embark on a full day tour around the Golden Circle, a route famed for natural and historical Icelandic wonders. Witness the spectacular double cascade of Gullfoss waterfall before observing the enormous plumes of Strokkur geyser. Discover how tomatoes, cucumbers and even bananas grow within this harsh tundra at the Frioheimar Cultivation Centre and head to the UNESCO recognised Thingvellir National Park, location of the world's first democratic parliament in 930AD and a colossal fissured valley rift - formed by a clash of the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates.

Day 4: ReykjavikSpend your last day within Iceland's cosmopolitan capital at leisure. Before heading out from the old harbour to spot breaching humpbacks (at an additional fee), visit delicious eateries including Baejarins bestu, home to the 'world's best hotdog' once sampled by US president, Bill Clinton. Wrap up warm in a hand-knitted lopapeysa as you stroll through the bustling shopping district of Laugavegur, alternatively strip off in Laugardalur park and bathe within inviting natural springs. This evening, soak up Reykjaviks vibrant nightlife or journey into the snow-covered countryside for one last chance to view the sensational aurora borealis.

Day 5: Reykjavik to UKTransfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Important Information
Visas
A visa is not required for your trip to Iceland. Further advice should be sought from the applicable tourist authority for other nationalities and for general queries. We strongly advise you check your destinations' Tourist Board or Embassy for the most up-to-date guidelines regarding passport validity.
Payment
If booking more than 10 weeks before departure a deposit of £250pp will need to be paid at the time of booking with the full amount payable at 10 weeks prior to departure. The deposit applies to adults and children. If you are within 10 weeks of travel then the full balance of the holiday will be payable.
Flight Information
Your flight to Reykjavik is with Iceland Air (FI), departing from London Gatwick, North Terminal. Each passenger is entitled to 23kg of hold luggage plus 1 item of hand luggage not exceeding in 10kg. Weight restrictions will be finalized on E-ticket receipt and any further information can be found on the airlines website. Should you wish to take additional luggage you will need to pay extra at check-in. Check-in should be at least 3 hours before departure. Please note that all flight times are subject to change. Final flight details will be confirmed on your e-ticket and final documentation which will be sent to you approximately 10 days before departure.
Health and Vaccinations
It is strongly recommended that you check the latest health recommendations for travel to Iceland with your GP at least 4-6 weeks before travel. Alternatively up to date information can be obtained by telephoning the MASTA travel health line on 0330 100 4200. Any medicines you may need during your journey should be packed in your hand luggage. We suggest it is worth taking a few first aid supply such as travel pills, rehydration powder, plasters, stomach settlers, antiseptic creams, aspirin etc. Because these products can be more expensive abroad and familiar brands are not always available. If your visit is between April and September, you should always take mosquito repellent.
Physical Accessibility
This tour is accessible to most people with an average level of fitness and normal mobility. It involves moderate days of walking and getting on and off coaches. This tour is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
Group Size
The minimum number of passengers on your tour will be 10, and the maximum number of passengers will be 35. If in the unlikely event your tour does not reach the minimum passenger numbers then you may be asked to change to a different date. A full refund will be made available to you should this alternative not be suitable.
Tour Guide
This is an escorted tour, meaning that you will have the services of an English speaking guide throughout your excursions ensuring that you have first-hand knowledge at all times.
Currency Information
The currency in Iceland is the Icelandic Krona (ISK). You can change your currency before you travel in the UK, however the exchange rate does fluctuate. We would recommend you to bring GBP with you to Iceland to exchange locally and cash machines are also available in all the major cities to withdraw money in the local currency.
Personal Expenses
You will need to take some extra money with you to cover any lunches and dinners where these are not mentioned on your itinerary and personal purchases, such as souvenirs, extra drinks and snacks. Approximately £100-£200 per person should be sufficient for the duration of your tour.
